According to a claim in the Turkish media, Crystal Palace will be in attendance for tonight’s Champions League clash between AS Monaco and Besiktas.
It’s reported the Premier League club will again be watching Besiktas star Cenk Tosun after they recently checked up on the forward.
Fanatik have today claimed Crystal Palace will be monitoring Tosun in Monaco, but it’s not been confirmed if this will be Dougie Freedman. The Crystal Palace sporting director last week watched Tosun in Finland in Turkey’s World Cup qualifier.
Previous to this, the London side has travelled to Istanbul to get a lowdown on the 26 year old, following their attempts to sign the player in the last window.
Last week we covered reports that Crystal Palace are willing to pay £22.4m to sign Tosun in the next window, after they failed to land the player in the summer.
The Premier League side had a bid accepted by Besiktas, but the offer came too late in the window for the Turkish champions to bring in a replacement.
