Crystal Palace have reportedly placed an official bid for Fluminense striker Evanilson. According to outlet Globo Esporte, the offer was made ‘in the past few days’.
The report doesn’t bring any details on how much Crystal Palace are offering for the 20-year-old, but they say there are real chances the deal could go through.
Fluminense know they’ll have a hard time keeping the player during this transfer window, so a good scenario for them would be to sell him now and only let him go at the end of the season.
That idea fits the offer from Crystal Palace, who’d have no problem in leaving him loaned to the Rio de Janeiro side and only taking him next summer.
Evanilson recently received an offer from the City Football Group as well, but there are no updates on the response to that bid. He scored nine goals in 22 appearances for the Brazilian side this season.
The striker actually belongs to third division side Tombense, and is loaned to Fluminense until the end of 2021. The Rio de Janeiro club would get 30% of a sale.
