Despite Paris Saint-Germain and Eintracht Frankfurt finding an agreement for the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani, they have failed to do so for Hugo Ekitike, which has opened the door for Crystal Palace.
The Eagles had previously seen an offer of a loan with an option to buy rejected, and there was no indication of whether or not the Selhurst Park residents would strike again.
Well, L’Equipe on transfer deadline day claim they have, as Crystal Palace have ‘returned’ for the 21-year-old these ‘past few hours’.
It’s explained the Premier League club ‘reopened’ talks with Paris Saint-Germain for the striker to try and sign him before the end of the transfer window.
They add the structure of whatever Crystal Palace are offering this time around has yet to filter through, but as was suggested on Thursday, the fact the Ligue 1 champions have a deal in place for Randal Kolo Muani means they are now less insistent on a full sale when it comes to Ekitike.
Therefore, there’s a possibility the Eagles get the loan they initially wanted, but that remains to be seen, as we’re sure an update will soon arrive.
In fact, Marc Mechenoua, working for Le Parisien, has far more details than L’Equipe, and claims the offer from Crystal Palace is a loan with an option to buy of around €30m.
Crystal Palace a transmis une nouvelle de prêt avec option d'achat au PSG pour Hugo Ekitike. Elle se situe aux alentours des 30 millions d'euros. Comme quoi ça bouge vite !!! #Mercato @le_Parisien_PSG https://t.co/IPCcgl3PQp
