Crystal Palace have become the latest club to be credited with interest in signing VfL Wolfsburg’s Aster Vranckx in the summer window.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that Crystal Palace are ‘pushing hard’ to sign the player.
He says Crystal Palace will continue talks with the 21-year-old ‘more intensively’ in the ‘next 24 hours’, likely to try and sort out personal terms.
The Belgium international has a year left on his deal and the Bundesliga side seem to be open to letting him leave this summer.
Tavolieri claims Wolfsburg are requesting €10m and the Eagles are ‘ready to pay’ this fee for Vranckx. He further adds the player has a five-year deal ready at Selhurst Park.
The Belgian was mainly used as a defensive midfielder and at times as a centre-back last season.
Napoli and Everton are also said to be in the picture to sign the versatile player. Tavolieri claims the Serie A side are still watching him while Crystal Palace are pushing hard to acquire his signature.
