Juventus star Patrice Evra has been linked with a return to the Premier League with Crystal Palace and Manchester United reported to be his possible destinations.
The Frenchman has anther six months left on his contract at Juventus. Reportedly he also has the option to extend his current deal for another year, but is still considering a switch to the Premier League.
According to a latest report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Crystal Palace have ‘leapfrogged’ Valencia in the race to sign Evra.
The Spanish side were in the race to sign the former Manchester United star, but Gazzetta say Crystal Palace have been quite serious about their interest.
It’s been reported Jose Mourinho is also monitoring the situation of Evra, following recent rumours linking him to Manchester United.
The Italian website believe a move to the Premier League is very likely at this stage, and Juventus wait for his decision. The Frenchman this season lost his place to Alex Sandro and at this stage of his career needs to find a club which can give him more playing time.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Saturday that the whole thing is resting on what Evra decides, and that still remains the situation.
