Jefferson Lerma may be missing out on Crystal Palace’s end of the season, but there’s some good news on his physical recovery.

Mariano Olsen, from Colombian outlet WinSports, today writes that the midfielder has been intensifying his strengthening work and should soon be fit again.

It’s said Lerma is already recovered from his hamstring injury, and is now working with Crystal Palace doctors to get back in shape.

The report claims that the player is ready for his ‘great goal’ this year, which is to play at the Copa America.

Since picking up the injury against Liverpool, Lerma missed the Premier League clashes against West Ham United, Newcastle United, Fulham, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

For now, there isn’t any information on whether he could be fit for Crystal Palace’s final match of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Lerma has been regularly playing for Colombia since 2017, and has 41 caps for his country. In this year’s Copa America, they’re in a group with Brazil, Paraguay and Costa Rica. The top two teams get a place in the knock-out stage.
