Crystal Palace have made an attempt to sign Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis this summer.

This was reported in the UK and Het Nieuwsblad, after relaying that, then provide their take on Crystal Palace’s interest, and the winger and Club Brugge’s positions on a transfer.

The 23-year-old joined the Jupiler Pro League side in July 2024 and scored 21 times and registered 16 assists last season. He managed three goals and two assists from seven games this season.

Tzolis is a ‘key player’ for the Belgian side and Crystal Palace have offered them €32m to secure his services. This didn’t please Club Brugge, who have rejected this proposal, but it hasn’t put off the Eagles.

Oliver Glasner’s side may return with an improved bid, but Club Brugge are expected to reject it. The newspaper say they have no need to raise money, and it should put them in a comfortable position to maintain their stance.

They want to retain the Greece international, who signed a new contract [until 2029] on July 14th. The player is also happy with his life, both on and off the pitch, at Club Brugge and would like to continue with them for at least one more season.

However, Het Nieuwsblad reports Tzolis is ‘not averse’ to making a switch to the Premier League. If he were to push for a move and Crystal Palace return with an improved offer, Club Brugge will then have a decision to make.
