According to a claim in the Turkish media, Crystal Palace want to bring Alexander Sörloth back to Selhurst Park and have offered Trabzonspor Christian Benteke as bait for this to happen.

The Norwegian is currently on a 18 month loan deal with the Turkish side, where he’s impressed in the early stages of the season.

Fotospor claim Crystal Palace offered Benteke to Trabzonspor but the move was quickly rejected by the Turkish club’s officials.

Trabzonspor have the option, at least according to Turkish reports, to make Sörloth’s move permanent for €6m if he plays in 50% of the club’s games. However, there are reports they want Crystal Palace to reduce the transfer fee… which seems a little unreasonable.

Subsequently Sabah claim the Super Lig side will now travel to London to hold talks with the Eagles and it’s hoped they can sign the Norway international for €4m.

The 23 year old was once again excellent against Ankaragucu last weekend and has now scored 7 goals in 12 league appearances.
