Crystal Palace could find themselves in a transfer tussle with AC Milan for Maxence Lacroix this summer.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say Milan met with agent Gordon Stipic on Thursday morning to discuss a potential move for the defender.
They explain that Milan wanted to meet with Stipic to discuss Lacroix and Malick Thiaw, who is another of the agent’s clients.
Lacroix is a potential target for the summer and an ‘obsession’ for sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio, who has followed him over the last month and is eyeing him as a potential replacement for Simon Kjaer.
That should come as bad news for Crystal Palace, who have been credited with interest in the Wolfsburg defender for the past few weeks.
A report at the beginning of this month linked them and Everton with a €20m move this summer, with that coming after the player himself had admitted he remains in contact with Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner.
The pair worked together at Wolfsburg earlier in the player’s career and it seems they still maintain contact after that period, thus leading to the links to Crystal Palace.
They now face competition from AC Milan, who’ve met with his agent this week and already have links to him thanks to Thiaw, suggesting Glasner may need to be extra persuasive if he wants the defender at Selhurst Park this summer.
