Crystal Palace have previously tried to sign Inter Milan’s Yann Bisseck. They’ll have to up their efforts to seal a deal this summer.
At the start of the season, things appeared difficult for Bisseck. He made a high profile error against Udinese and fell down the pecking order under Cristian Chivu.
That is when Crystal Palace interest emerged. Sport Witness covered their offer for the German late in 2025’s summer transfer window, but Inter opted to keep the player at the San Siro.
They had lost Benjamin Pavard at that point and weren’t keen on losing another vital defensive option.
The German’s future has been talked up again, as he has missed out on a call-up to the World Cup.
Interest rising again
Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport looks at the defender’s situation, noting that he has several admirers.
Bayern Munich see him as a possible target, as the newspaper claims that Bisseck has changed agents.
Crystal Palace’s previous offer of €30m finds mention. But Bisseck’s value has grown over the last year and he is now available for €40m.
That is the amount Inter would need to execute a sale, even if they would ideally want to keep him.
If Crystal Palace or other suitors offer that amount, there’s a good chance of success. That is also because the Nerazzurri are keen on Udinese’s Oumar Solet and the Frenchman can replace Bisseck seamlessly.
Deal may be out of Palace’s reach

By now, Bisseck has won two Serie A titles and has played over 20 times in the Champions League. That is what he would expect from his next club.
Crystal Palace can’t offer that to the 25-year-old, making them an outsider in the chase. Even if they may have a higher financial capacity than Italian clubs, the player might not be keen. Bayern Munich would be a much more attractive destination for him.
