Sasa Lukic signed for Torino in 2016 and the 26-year-old midfielder has since become an important player for the club.

Last season the midfielder made 35 appearances for the Serie A side, scoring five goals and adding four assists in the process.

Monday’s edition of Tuttosport reports Crystal Palace have taken interest in the player, making contract with Torino to find out information about a possible move. The Eagles aren’t the only club showing interest, with it claimed Sevilla have also been in touch, and Napoli are said to have made direct contact with Torino’s president.

The response the Naples club received was that Lukic will cost €20m, which has seen the situation cool.

Crystal Palace and other interested parties may have the player’s desire on their side, after Lukic carried out a ‘mutiny’ on Friday morning, not wanting to train with Torino.

He’s annoyed because he feels repeat promises to improve his contract haven’t been followed through with. Currently earning €700k a year after tax, Lukic has been looking for €1.5m, also after tax, plus bonuses.

Such figures wouldn’t be a problem for Crystal Palace.
