Juventus star Stefano Sturaro didn’t really enjoy regular playing time this season, and that has put his future in doubt at the Serie A club.
Several clubs are interested in signing the Italian international, who is currently on international duty at Euro 2016, thanks largely to several injuries to other midfielders.
According to Italian website Jn24, Crystal Palace have made a ‘feeble’ attempt to sign Sturaro, and his agent was spotted in Milan with Juventus’ sporting director, Fabio Guild.
It has been reported Juventus have no plans to let the 23-year-old leave, and are ready to offer him a new contract.
Jn24 say Sturaro will only sign a new deal on his conditions, and it’s all very complicated, because time on the pitch is a factor, with talks not simply limited to money.
Crystal Palace will definitely keep an eye on this one, if they’re genuinely interested in signing him, but should be prepared to face competition from Zenit St. Petersburg.
