As Crystal Palace keep up with their chase for Parma winger Yann Karamoh, today sees good and bad news about their chances of a transfer.

We must first recall that at the end of July, it was claimed that the Premier League side had put the player on their shortlist, as it seemed they hadn’t made any moves yet.

Now there’s an update from Italy, where Sport Parma claims the player should indeed leave the Serie A side this summer.

It’s said there’s been ‘a few timid polls’ for his transfer. Two clubs contacted the agency who takes care of Karamoh’s career, which were Crystal Palace and Lille.

That seems to be a step forward in the chase from the Selhurst Park side, but the problem is that the player seems closer to a move to France.

Sport Parma writes that his entourage is ‘working’ to get the transfer to Lille. Since his contract with the Italian club expires in 2023, he’s likely to go on a permanent move, and could leave for less than €6m.

Still, the website makes it clear that there are no offers so far, so maybe that’s a reason why Crystal Palace are being left behind.
