Turin newspaper Tuttosport report on Monday that Juventus are upping their efforts to sign Sead Kolasinac in this window, rather than waiting until he’s a free agent in the summer. Juve will offer Schalke €2m plus the same again in bonuses, which sounds reasonable.

This is all a ‘direct result’ of it being increasingly assumed Patrice Evra is on his way out. Crystal Palace are said to have made the ‘most concrete proposal’ for the player, but there’s also interest from other, unnamed, Premier League clubs.

Despite Juventus planning for life without him, it’s Patrice Evra’s desire which will decide everything. If the former Manchester United player wants to join Crystal Palace, then it’s pretty sure a way will be found for it to happen.

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta is quoted as saying Evra is ‘reflecting on his future’, Palace may well wish he would reflect a little quicker. The public comments from Juve, and Evra being left out of recent games, shows the club are ready to move on, but they too are hanging on the will of the Frenchman.

Things look to be moving, but it all depends on Evra.
