Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a number of reports regarding Newcastle United’s interest in Radu Dragusin.
The Juventus centre-back’s contract in Turin is set to expire in the summer, and while the Serie A champions are doing their best to tie him down, the young Romanian has many admirers around Europe.
Newcastle are one of them, as are RB Leipzig, but the pair have now been joined by Crystal Palace.
This comes from Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday, who explain the Eagles have ‘added their attention’ to the situation.
What Dragusin and his family are looking for isn’t money, otherwise they’d just sign at Juventus again, but they are ‘attentive to the opportunities on the horizon’.
The Romanian ‘enjoys Pirlo’s trust’, and that leads to many believing a stay is on the cards, but ‘time is running out’, especially with clubs like Newcastle and Crystal Palace looming.
So we now have an exciting battle between Steve Bruce and Roy Hodgson over a young, talented centre-back.
We’ll keep an eye on things for you, don’t worry.
