Crystal Palace are interested in signing Gabriel Sara from Norwich City, according to claims from Brazil.
Just last week, UOL published a report saying the player’s good season in the Championship had attracted interest from Premier League clubs.
Now the very same outlet shows up saying Crystal Palace, as well as AS Roma, want to take him from Norwich City this summer.
Columnist André Hernan writes that those two clubs got in touch for the signing, and it’s the Eagles who sought more details about the conditions for a deal.
The story doesn’t have any information on how much Crystal Palace would like to pay for the player, or the request made by Norwich City at this stage.
Gabriel Sara may be a midfielder, but was a big help for the Canaries’ attacking sector this season, with 14 goals and 13 assists in 53 appearances.
The Brazilian is valued by Transfermarkt at €16m. Norwich City spent €10.5m to sign him, and 10% of any profit they get with a sale will go to his former club São Paulo.
