Crystal Palace are reportedly pursuing a Brazilian goalkeeper.
That’s according to website Torcedores, who feature a story about São Paulo’s Young Moraes.
The 21-year-old’s contract with the Tricolor expires in August, and since he’s currently their fourth option for the position, he doesn’t want to renew it.
Crystal Palace are said to be one of the clubs who’ve ‘shown some interest’ in signing Young, as well as Benfica and Fiorentina.
São Paulo are still hopeful of keeping the youngster at the club, and will try to find a way to convince him to sign a new contract. That’s why they won’t rebel against the player and he will continue him training with the squad normally.
It’s worth recalling, however, that Young Moraes doesn’t have a single appearance for São Paulo’s first team yet, and never played for Brazil’s youth ranks.
That means he’s highly unlikely to get a work permit for the Premier League, and in case Crystal Palace do sign him, they’d need to loan him around until he gets the necessary points to be registered.
