Crystal Palace have their sights set on Marseille’s Bamba Dieng.

According to RMC Sport, clubs in England have ‘returned to charge’ for the striker, and have informed his entourage and the Ligue 1 side about their interest to carry out a deal in the winter market.

The report explains Crystal Palace have ‘enquired’ about the Senegal international, who is currently with his national team at the ongoing AFCON.

Dieng signed a new deal with the French club last month and despite having a contract until 2024, Marseille are ‘ready to sell’ him for ‘at least €10m’ before the end of this month.

Jorge Sampaoli’s side have not received any concrete offers for the player so far. However, RMC Sport state ‘things could change in the coming days’.

Dieng’s focus is currently with the national team and would like to continue with Marseille. However, he is aware that some offers cannot be refused.

Marseille are open to letting the frontman leave for at least €10m in January. If Crystal Palace or were to make an offer and convince Dieng, a deal could be carried out in the final days of the ongoing window.
