According to Turkish website Fotospor, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan and will send a scout to Istanbul this weekend to watch him in action against Galatasaray.
Tufan was loaned out to Alanyaspor in January to get his career back on track after a terrible spell with Fenerbahce, and he’s kicked on this season back at his parent club.
The Turkey international now looks a completely different player and his improvement was rewarded by the Super Lig club after making him the captain in the absence of Emre Belozoglu during the last two games.
Subsequently his performances have brought him to the attention of other clubs and along with Crystal Palace, Fortuna Dusseldorf and Saint Etienne are also said to be interested in the midfielder.
Palace were linked with Tufan during the 2018 winter transfer window but at the time it was claimed the move collapsed at the very last minute.
Tufan’s contract with Fener will expire at the end of this season, meaning he can speak with clubs outside of Turkey in January.
Fenerbahce, meanwhile, are looking to offer him a new deal.
