Crystal Palace’s potential move for Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma may have been handed a boost as the player and his club want a move to the Premier League.
That’s according to AS, who say both Danjuma and Villarreal are ‘pinning their hopes’ on the player moving back to England this summer.
The newspaper explains that this will the be final market in which Villarreal will be dealing with a potential departure for Danjuma, who has been linked with a move in all four windows he’s been at the club.
He’s always been an option for the Spanish side to sell and this summer it will be the same again, particularly as Villarreal ‘hopes to sell’ him and help themselves financially.
Any deal would help them to boost their finances and improve their attacking options and the plan is to explore any options put forwards.
Recent reports have indicated that Crystal Palace could be an ‘option’ for the player as they look to add to their forward line this summer, particularly with Wilfried Zaha looking likely to reject offers to sign a new contract and move on.
If they are interested and looking to make a move then that would be welcomed by Villarreal and the player, who are both looking to move him to the Premier League.
A further boost to Crystal Palace’s chances is also the fact that AS say Danjuma will definitely be leaving this summer, meaning that there is a deal there to be done if they want it.
