After repeat links with Crystal Palace, Soualiho Meite moved to AS Monaco from Lille last summer and signed a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 outfit.
The attacking midfielder played only 95 minutes of league football under Leonardo Jardim in the first half of the 2017/18 season.
Lack of playing time saw Meite join Bordeaux on loan until the end of the season. The 24-year-old was able to get regular playing time, making 18 appearances in Ligue 1 for Les Girondins.
According to the French publication L’Equipe, the Paris-born midfielder’s displays for Bordeaux has convinced their leaders to “extend the lease”. The same report also claims Meite is attracting interest from abroad.
Crystal Palace and Werder Bremen “appreciate the profile of the player” after he managed to impress for Bordeaux in the second half of the recently concluded season. The Eagles have long been interested in Meite, even before he joined Monaco from Lille.
If Jardim sanction’s the midfielder’s sale, Bordeaux, Crystal Palace and Werder Bremen could face a fight for the player’s signature.
