Last week, Calciomercato reported Crystal Palace are pushing to sign Juventus’ Filip Kostić. They aren’t the only Premier League side in the picture as Southampton are also interested in him.
On Wednesday, journalist Alfredo Pedullà stated Southampton have made an offer for the 31-year-old but made no mention of Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace and Southampton are in the tussle to take the player away from the Serie A side.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who say the Premier League duo are involved in a ‘three-way battle’ for Kostić.
As well as the Eagles and Russell Martin’s side, Al-Ahli are interested in securing the left wing-back’s services. The report adds the two English clubs shouldn’t underestimate the competition from the Saudi Arabia club.
The report makes no mention of the Saints making an offer for the Serbia international.
He has less than two years left on his deal and the Turin club value him at around €7-8m. Tutto Juve state Thiago Motta’s side ‘could also accept less’. This leaves Crystal Palace and Southampton an opportunity to sign Kostić in a reasonable deal before Friday night.
The Serbian played 33 matches last season and hasn’t made an appearance this season.
