FC Lorient star Mohamed Bamba has been included in Crystal Palace’s target list for this summer.
The striker left Austrian side Wolfsberger AC for Lorient in January, and managed eight goals and three assists from 16 games this year. It wasn’t enough to help the French club avoid getting relegated from Ligue 1, but his form seems to have not gone unnoticed.
Marca talk about Crystal Palace when mentioning Getafe’s interest in the 22-year-old.
The La Liga side are looking for a new striker in this window and they will have an urgent need to bolster the same position if Borja Mayoral were to leave.
Getafe’s list includes the Ivorian, who is also on Crystal Palace’s radar. In fact, Marca say he is the Eagles’ ‘main target’, probably to replace Jean-Philippe Mateta.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from Crystal Palace and his exit may open the door for Bamba’s arrival at Selhurst Park.
This is relayed by Friday’s edition of Sport, who add that Crystal Palace have ‘stronger financial muscle’ than Getafe, and that could prove to be decisive in the battle between the two clubs for Bamba.
