Juventus are interested in signing Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window, sources have confirmed to Sport Witness.
The 32-year-old was one of the key players who helped the Spanish capital club win three Champions League trophies in a row.
After Real Madrid’s last success in the European competition, Ronaldo suggested that his future with his current employers is uncertain.
The former Manchester United player led Portugal as they crashed out of the 2018 World Cup following a 2-1 defeat to Uruguay in the knockout stage of the tournament. He is currently on holiday, but that hasn’t stopped his agent Jorge Mendes working to sort out his client’s future.
Juventus completed the signing of Ronaldo’s compatriot Joao Cancelo from Valencia, who is also managed by Mendes. The agent was pivotal in helping the Old Lady secure the 24-year-old’s signature and could now help the Turin club sign the Real Madrid forward.
Sport Witness understands there is a proposal from Massimiliano Allegri’s side to sign Ronaldo, it isn’t just rumours. However, no decision has been taken yet as to whether the Portuguese international will join the Serie A winners this summer or continue with Real Madrid.
There were claims from Spain on Tuesday that Ronaldo is leaving Real Madrid, but that hasn’t been decided yet.
