Coventry City are among the clubs chasing Luton Town’s Lamine Fanne this summer.

That’s according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest on the midfielder and the EFL League One side’s plans for him.

Last summer, Luton Town agreed a deal with AIK Fotboll for the 21-year-old to join them in January. Since moving to England, he played 14 games for Matt Bloomfield’s side, who have been relegated to EFL League One.

Coventry City want to bring him back to the Championship in this window.

Galetti says Frank Lampard’s side have joined Cremonese and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the race to acquire the player’s signature. He adds Empoli and İstanbul Başakşehir have also recently approached the player’s camp recently.

Coventry City and other clubs are looking to snatch Fanne away from Luton Town, while the journalist reports the latter want to retain him. The EFL League One club consider him to be key to their project as they look to return to the second division.

Fanne’s contract expires in 2029, and Galetti makes no mention of whether he’s open to joining any of these clubs or intends to continue at Luton Town.
