A week ago we published an article titled ‘Coventry City and Abdoulie Manneh turning into a farce – Meeting held’. That explained the saga around the Mjällby AIF and a potential move to the Premier League club.
For months, it’s felt like Mjällby AIF – and potentially the player’s camp as well – have been pushing for more money. That would be in terms of transfer fee and salary, and potentially commissions as well.
Such was the frustrating picture, we suggested it was time for Coventry City to walk away from Abdoulie Manneh. The club don’t have infinite time and energy to spend on an individual transfer.
Now there’s fresh claims from the Swedish media.
Fotbolldirekt report Coventry City are no longer in the lead. Unnamed Premier League clubs are said to have moved into the picture.
Bournemouth have previously been linked but there’s nothing fresh on the Cherries. No negotiations are currently ongoing with Frank Lampard’s side, and other clubs are said to be ready to spend more.
Again, Coventry City continue be messed about.
