On Monday, we brought claims from Italy which stated West Ham United have made initial contact over signing Nehuén Pérez from Udinese this summer.

The 23-year-old has a contract lasting until June 2027, and made 36 Serie A appearances last season, every one of them for the full 90 minutes. He’s made two appearances for Argentina’s senior team and will hope there’s more of that to come in the future.

Tuesday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport covers the Hammers interest and it’s stated they’ve ‘set their sights’ on the central defender.

On Monday, we explained that Napoli had offered €16m in January and been rejected, so West Ham would likely be asked for move. To that end, Gazzetta ‘he costs €20m’.

Meanwhile, Messaggero Veneto report the Premier League club are ‘knocking on Udinese’s door’ for the player.

Nehuén Pérez is likely to be one of a number of options for West Ham when it cones to defence this summer, and with an asking price of €20m his profile certainly looks interesting.
