Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga ‘is not a topic’ at Borussia Dortmund despite reports to the contrary.
That’s according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Sven Westerschulze, who says a move to Germany is ‘very unlikely’ at this moment in time.
Elanga has been linked with a move away from Manchester United this month as he has fallen down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag this season.
Reports in England and Germany had stated that Borussia Dortmund was a potential destination, with the German club known for their ability to develop youngsters.
It’s a strategy they’ve excelled at down the years and it was felt Elanga would fit in perfectly, as well as adding something to their current forward line.
Westerschulze pours cold water on those suggestions, though, stating that ‘contrary to many rumours’ the Manchester United man is ‘not a topic’ at Dortmund at this moment in time.
A move for the player is ‘very unlikely’ and even a loan is not an option for them, something which will remain the case ‘in normal circumstances’.
That should put an end to those rumours for the time being, then, and perhaps provide a boost to those in the Premier League who were also eyeing up Elanga this month.
