Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Chiquinho joined RCD Mallorca on loan last summer and the move hasn’t gone to plan.

The winger clocked in 140 minutes from seven league games and failed to score a goal or register an assist so far.

On December 18th, Onda Cero reported the 24-year-old could return to Wolves in January and Última Hora backed it up on Christmas Eve.

Thursday’s edition of Diario de Mallorca takes a look at the La Liga side’s plans for the winter market and discusses the Wolves owned player.

The newspaper states the Spanish club aren’t planning on making new additions, but a few players could leave the club. This includes Chiquinho, who can return to Molineux this month.

Mallorca manager Jagoba Arrasate has the Portuguese and Javier Llabrés among the options on the left wing and the duo’s future need to be sorted out.

If the Portuguese were to leave, the Spanish club’s plan is to bet on Llabrés, who came up through the ranks of their academy and has made one appearance this season.

Should Chiquinho continue at Mallorca, they plan to send Llabrés out on loan in January.
