Earlier today we covered claims from Italy that Manchester United could still complete a move for Sofyan Amrabat and so via a big discount.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Old Trafford and they had an option to make his move permanent for €20m. That option was never likely to be used and expired on Sunday.

Now Fiorentina are making the midfielder available at a cheaper price or on loan again, with TMW believing Manchester United remains the likeliest destination.

However, Napoli manager Antonio Conte is also keen, and according to Corriere Fiorentino he wanted Amrabat at Tottenham. For whatever reason Spurs weren’t able to secure the player, or perhaps Tottenham simply didn’t think much of Conte’s request, but the manager can now scratch that itch.

There’s belief that if a club comes forward for a permanent transfer then Amrabat can be secured for around €12m, which seems a really good deal.

Maybe Tottenham can move in to really wind Conte up.
