Chelsea have reportedly joined Manchester City in the battle for Leonardo Bonucci. After Pep Guardiola’s offer for the defender, the London club are said to be the latest team to show interest.
Calcio Mercato says Bonucci would feel tempted to join his former boss Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge, as the manager has been building pressure for the 29-year-old to join him in the Premier League.
Conte and Bonucci have been together at Euro 2016, so they’ve had plenty of time in each other’s company.
However, despite the lure of Premier League money from either Manchester City or Chelsea, Bonucci is likely to remain loyal to the Juventus shirt and stay in Turin.
The website doesn’t mention how much Chelsea would pay for the defender. But from what they’ve published earlier this Thursday, €50m wouldn’t be enough to take him from the Italian club.
