Linked with most big Premier League sides in need of a new striker, Alvaro Morata, bought back by Real Madrid from Juventus, looks set to be a Real Madrid player next season.

El Confidencial on Tuesday have a lengthy article on the Spanish striker, stating he looks dead certain to be in the starting XI of the Supercopa on Tuesday night, and that suggests he’s not going anywhere.

The player himself is apparently more for a move to another club as he knows the BBC (Bale, Benzema, Cristiano) will always start ahead of him, but with little other options up front, Madrid need a backup striker in case of injuries.

Offers were made and rejected, which means other players didn’t get the move they wanted, and that’s what we’re focusing on.

According to the Spanish website, Diego Costa is one of the player directly affected by this stance from Real Madrid.

The reason behind this is the Spaniard wanted a move back to his beloved Atlético Madrid this summer, which Conte would allow, as long as he got a player like Morata to replace him.

Of course, that hasn’t happened, and doesn’t look likely to, either, meaning Conte will have to make do with Costa (what a shame) for the coming season.

There’s still time, but we doubt Real Madrid will want to sell Morata now, especially with a potential transfer ban around the corner.
