Croatian star Marcelo Brozović has been linked with a move away from Inter Milan all summer, with strong interest from Premier League clubs.
The Nerazzurri have opened negotiations over a new contract, but Chelsea remain interested in signing the 23-year-old, reports Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday.
It is reported Chelsea have already made an informal offer of cash plus John Obi Mikel, as Conte maintains a serious interest in the Croatian midfielder.
Conte has asked Roman Abramovic to sign another midfielder after N’Golo Kante, and has identified Brozovic as an ideal target.
Inter have reportedly set a price tag of €30m on Brozovic, but Gazzetta believe they could settle for €25m.
Leicester City, West Ham United and Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing Brozovic, but Gazzetta believe Chelsea are more convinced than the rest.
Inter have paid €8m in fees for Brozovic, who arrived at the club almost 18 months ago, and could make a significant profit if Chelsea step up their interest in the final days of the transfer window.
