Serie A side Torino are reportedly set to start fresh negotiations to get Nikola Vlasic from West Ham United.
The Italian club’s buying option over the midfielder has already expired, but according to Tuttosport, they remain focused on getting the purchase done.
It’s said Torino, West Ham and Vlasic have held ‘frequent’ contacts and those conversations ‘will resume this week’.
The Hammers’ request for this transfer is said to be €13m. The Serie A side try to get him for below €10m, but are unlikely to achieve that.
Tuttosport claim that Torino’s latest offer was €9m plus €1.5m in bonuses, but that was not accepted by West Ham.
When the Italian club signed Vlasic on a loan deal last summer, it was the player’s desire that was decisive, as he wanted to work with manager Ivan Juric. It’s now claimed that his wish will play again on Torino’s side, as his will could convince West Ham of letting him stay at the club.
Now since Vlasic’s contract with the Hammers only expires in 2026, there’s no big pressure for the Premier League side to sell.
