We reported yesterday there’s a growing confidence in the Turkish press about Nasri’s potential move to Besiktas, but there’s some wariness as late deals have failed for the club previously.
Besiktas boss Fikret Orman even had a private jet on standby yesterday, but all of Besiktas’ hopes are coming to an end after Nasri’s conversation with Pep Guardiola.
Lig Tv’s Sansal Büyüka said yesterday: ”Nasri and Pep met at the training ground to discuss the player’s future. Nasri said to Guardiola he wants to play in this team and he’ll work hard to achieve that.
“Guardiola told him there’s no guarantee he can play him on a regular basis, but he’ll be involved in his match-day squads. After that Nasri was convinced.”
Recent claims from France Football and L’Equipe have suggested Sevilla are interested in Nasri after Yevhen Konoplyanka’s fall-out with manager Jorge Sampaoli, and now the Spanish club seems to be in pole position if he leaves Manchester City.
However, the Turkish press claims indicate Nasri will remain as a Manchester City player after the transfer window closes on Wednesday.
