As far as Leeds United players out on loan, one of the situations which has some certainty is Rasmus Kristensen. For the first half of his loan season at AS Roma he was largely seen as a massive flop by the Italian media.
Things did get a little better, and the right-back started picking up minutes and praise, but a yellow card suspension in March saw him drop out of the side, and he’s only recently returned.
Regardless, of any of that, Corriere dello Sport say he’s being sent back to Leeds United, and Roma won’t make an attempt to buy him.
Diego Llorente’s situation is rather more complicated. There’s disagreement in Italy over the status of his loan.
Last week, there were some claims that the deal is just a straight loan and therefore Roma would have to agree a transfer fee, and others that there was a €5m conditional clause which had already been triggered.
Even the latter claim stated Roma would then sell the defender on, which seemed a little rash.
Corriere dello Sport reports the Spaniard’s situation ‘needs to be evaluated’ and ‘Leeds would sell for another €5m’.
More confusion, and perhaps this €5m clause is linked to which division Leeds United find themselves in next season.
