There appears to be a little bit of confusion regarding the next destination of Cardiff City’s Bruno Ecuele Manga.
WalesOnline carried a report earlier on Thursday claiming the Bluebirds’ defender, who would be entering his sixth year with the Welsh club, was in talks to sign for Guingamp for £3m, who were recently relegated back to Ligue 2.
Over in France, however, local newspaper Le Bien Public see it differently, reporting the 31-year-old will be leaving Cardiff City Stadium to move to Dijon, who managed to stay up in Ligue 1 via the relegation playoffs after finishing 18th last year.
They also state he was being tracked by Rennes and Turkish side Trabzonspor.
WalesOnline did leave some room for change by stating the move to Guingamp was ‘not as cut and dried as that of Zohore’, who is moving to West Brom, and if Le Bien Public are correct, it appears there’s been a last minute change of plans for Ecuele Manga.
After all, if the Gabon international was offered a chance to play in France’s top-tier instead of the level below, who could blame him for changing his mind?
