Marco Rose could seek a reunion with Lois Openda at Bournemouth, with striker set to leave Juventus at the end of the season.
Tutto Juve report that Openda is likely to leave the Italian side this summer, and Rose is considering him for his Bournemouth squad.
Juventus disappointment
The website explains that Lois Openda’s performances have disappointed Juventus this season. They thought they were getting a relentless striker, given until the end of 2024 he had scored at least ten a season.
But he’s suffered a decline that is difficult to explain, having managed just two goals so far at Juventus. That’s put him on the exit ramp.
Tutto Juve report that the striker is likely to depart on loan, given he would cost €40.6 million and earns €1.7m a year. Those are numbers that make him a hard sale.
The belief is that the ‘conditions could be favourable’ for his former manager Marco Rose. He would be interested in a reunion when he takes charge at Bournemouth this summer.
It won’t be a simple move by any means. But Juventus have resigned themselves to loaning the striker out. That has opened the door for him to depart this summer.
Bournemouth new striker
Bournemouth may need a new striker given the growing interest in Eli Junior Kroupi. He has some of the biggest sides in Europe interested following his impressive performances this season.
The 19-year-old has 12 goals in 30 games in the Premier League this season for Bournemouth, despite only playing in 46% of the available minutes. He’s very much a rising star, and the likes of Liverpool are believed to be watching.
If he were to depart, as other players have at Bournemouth in recent months, perhaps Openda could be the replacement. Juventus are opening up to a loan move, which could make him an ideal target for Marco Rose.
