Last week, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Chelsea as a suitor for Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic.
The newspaper indicated the Old Lady are interested in the player’s January sale. They are looking to attract clubs in England to earn as high amount as possible from the transfer.
Today’s Corriere dello Sport has more on the 25-year-old.
They claim that Chelsea are pursuing the Serbian and so are multiple other English clubs. Now, competition from Bayern Munich is also rising.
The German giants have ‘gathered information’ for the player and a ‘concrete offer could soon arrive’. Interest has been reported in Germany but the idea of an imminent offer is new.
This will pose a threat to Chelsea, as relations between Bayern and Vlahovic’s entourage are thought to be good. The striker is attracted by a move to the Bundesliga, with further meetings expected soon.
Vlahovic’s current deal in Turin runs until next summer. The newspaper expect him to run out his contract and then seek a move. Juventus prefer a sale and it’s down to Chelsea and others to force that.
So far this season, the Serbia international has scored four goals in all competitions. Despite this form, Juve want to part ways largely because of his wages of around €12m per season.
