Eintracht Frankfurt area concerned that Oliver Glasner’s appointment at Nottingham Forest could put an end to their attempts to sign Arnaud Kalimuendo permanently.

Nottingham Forest negotiations
The fear is that he scuppers the transfer for his former club. Arnaud Kalimuendo spent the second half of last season with the Bundesliga side.
They are keen to sign him permanently and have been negotiating with Nottingham Forest regarding the deal for weeks.
The belief was that a deal would be done, as Kalimuendo has made it clear he wants the move. Nottingham Forest also want to offload him, so there’s a desire on three sides to reach an agreement.
But now there is a risk that Glasner will ‘reassess the situation’. BILD believe is it conceivable that the Austrian coach will want to take a look at his entire squad this summer before sanctioning any transfers. That would be a setback for Frankfurt’s efforts to get the striker done early.
Glasner plans key
Everyone at the club wants him back, and they would prefer to get a deal done quickly. The plan was to make him the focal point of a drive back to Europe next season.
Now Glasner could put a spanner in the works. He will likely have been promised funds for his squad this summer, alongside the big pay packet that has tempted him to the City Ground. There is also the funds from Elliot Anderson’s move to Manchester City.
But he is also practical. A big part of his success at Crystal Palace was reviving players who had previously disappointed. Jean-Philippe Mateta is the prime example of that. Frankfurt’s worry, it seems, is that he will view Kalimeundo in a similar way and block his exit this summer.
