With Manchester United spending €15m on signing Tyrell Malacia this summer, the Red Devils may have too many left-backs in their squad, since Alex Telles and Luke Shaw are already fighting for that position.

With the Brazilian failing to have regularity since arriving at the club in 2020, the rumour mill has been putting him close to the exit door. And one of the destinations pointed out for him has been his former club FC Porto.

A few months ago, the Portuguese media even claimed there was some interest from the Dragons to have him back, as they had been keeping an eye on his situation at Manchester United.

However, as journalist Pedro Sepulveda today brings an update on the situation, he basically rules out any chances of a comeback this summer.

On Twitter, the reporter writes that Porto are ‘not interested’ in Telles, and it’s ‘completely fake’ that there have been any approaches from the Dragons for the signing. He also makes it clear that the Portuguese champions are not looking for a left-back in this transfer window.

So the Brazilian, who has a contract with Manchester United until 2024, should find another destination this summer, unless he ends up getting a new chance at Old Trafford.
