Bournemouth’s position on Julio Soler has gained new layers, with fresh reporting from Hernán Castillo suggesting that the Premier League club do not plan to use the defender in the short term.

According to the update relayed by MilloStats, Soler’s representatives offered him to River Plate because they want the 20-year-old to secure consistent minutes ahead of next year’s Under-20 World Cup.

Castillo adds that Bournemouth understand that regular game time and an international tournament could increase the player’s market value.

At the same time, Uriel Iugt reports that Soler also has opportunities to leave on loan within Europe. Bournemouth consider European minutes essential for his development and, according to Iugt, three clubs have already expressed willingness to take him on a straight loan.

That stance reinforces what earlier coverage indicated: Bournemouth remain inclined to keep Soler in the European pathway, even as River push from South America.

River’s interest, however, has not cooled. The Argentine side remain attentive to the situation and continue to wait for Bournemouth’s response to their loan-with-option proposal. Also, Soler is told to be optimistic about his return to Argentina.

Castillo’s claims that the player is keen to move, combined with Bournemouth’s openness to a loan, keeping the door unlocked, but the Premier League club’s preference for a European destination remains the main obstacle.

The next step in the negotiation will depend on whether Bournemouth decide that a move to River aligns with their development plan, or whether they will direct Soler towards one of the European clubs already prepared to take him.
