Competition building for Chelsea player, but one club still leading the race

The Italian media continues to report Inter Milan’s efforts for the signing of Olivier Giroud in the next transfer window.

This time it’s the local Sky Sports, covered by FC Inter News, who says the Nerazzurri are insisting on getting the Chelsea striker in the summer.

It’s said that Inter Milan had already tried to sign him in January, and a deal is now on hold. It should actually become easier for the Italian side this time, since Giroud is becoming a free agent at the end of the season.

Like others, Sky Italia have reported Lazio have been interested in the Frenchman as well, but it’s still the Nerazzurri who lead the race for him so far.

Giroud, who has only two goals for the Blues this season, is seen by Inter Milan as a back-up option for Romelu Lukaku.
