Taking over from Francesco Guidolin during the international break, Bob Bradley faced a tough task for his first game in charge of Swansea.
Despite losing 3-2 to Arsenal, his side showed clear signs of improvement, notably in their attempts at pressing opposition players, and positives will have been taken from the performance from staff and fans alike.
Leaving Le Havre rather swiftly when offered the opportunity to manage in the Premier League, the American’s departure left a bitter taste in the mouths of the Ligue 2 club’s fans.
Replacing him at the helm was his assistant, Oswald Tanchot, and Le Havre started their new era with a 3-1 win over Clermont Foot.
The change in management didn’t seem to affect them, and the new man in charge even had a slight dig at Bradley about his use of youth, or lack of.
Speaking to France Football, Tanchot said: “Le Havre is an ambitious club. It jas the structure to go far. Our project therefore needs to include youngsters. Bob didn’t ignore them, but he was in the frame of mind of short-term success. I’m probably a bit more sensitive as to their integration.”
Having only just arrived at the Liberty Stadium, it’s hard to know if Bradley will adopt a similar approach with Swansea.
However, if he does, this suggests fans may not see that many youth products being integrated in the first team under the American.
