Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus isn’t hiding how excited he is to play alongside his national teammate Dani Alves. The 20-year-old was interviewed by Esporte Interativo on Tuesday, and one of the questions was if he’ll be receiving many crosses from the former Barcelona and Juventus right-back next season.
Jesus didn’t want to confirm the transfer, but still talked about how good it would be: “It still didn’t become concrete. But when it does, I’ll be quite happy. I will be quite happy not only for the quality, but for the energy he has.
The striker was interviewed by two Brazilian legends Zico and Rivellino, and was asked about his adaptation to England as well.
“My family and friends who have been with me have helped me a lot. And all of the club, Fernandinho and Fernando are very important for my adaptation. Food issues and everything, even with the language. They’ve been making a difference, it has helped me a lot too. Not to mention that the facilities of Manchester City are impressive, it is out of this world.”
The player also spoke a bit about the expectations to play the Champions League, since in the last season, he got injured and ended up missing the chance.
“Very big. Holidays are good and everything, but I can’t wait to go back there. Start training and make the preseason to have that opportunity.”
On the pressure for City to finally win the continental title, he said: “This pressure is growing. But not so much. City have evolved a lot from time to time. And it will evolve even more. You have everything to win, and I’m going to cheer a lot for us to win. Not only to play, but support a lot too.”
Having moved to Manchester City in January, Gabriel Jesus made 11 appearances for the club, and added an impressive seven goals and five assists. Now finally adapted and rested, it’s time for him to show his full potential for the club.
