Bruno Martins Indi is reportedly waiting for Everton to get him.
The player, who hasn’t been used in Porto’s pre-season, is now training with the reserve team as he waits for a transfer out of the club.
A Bola says there’s disagreement because Dinamo Kiev offered €12m for the defender and he refused to leave.
Porto reportedly want at least €10m for him, so this would’ve been a good opportunity to sell. However, the 24-year-old declined because he wants to play in the Premier League.
A Bola says Martins Indi still has hopes that Everton, who are the only interested club mentioned, will still bid for him before the window shuts. His market value is said to be dropping and Porto want to recover the €7.7m investment made in him two seasons ago.
Everton have been linked with Martins Indi since Ronaldo Koeman was appointed as their new manager. They’ve both worked together at Feyenoord, and that’s probably where the rumours come from.
It’s also an obvious thing to say, when a player wants to join a league and a compatriot and former workmate takes charge of a club. This interest is still to become something more concrete, otherwise it really sounds like a “come and get me” plea.
