West Ham have tried multiple times to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla, and have been knocked back multiple times.
Hammers interest in the striker goes back years and at times it’s seemed like Sevilla would be ready to negotiate with the Premier League club.
That was the case again at the beginning of January, as West Ham came forward for the player again. With David Moyes looking for additions in attack at the time, and Sevilla needing to bring some income in this month, the deal made sense for both clubs.
The London side were even said to be willing to pay €20m for En-Nesyri, but that didn’t get them what they wanted.
Once again, the player decided that a move to West Ham wasn’t what he desired, and he looked set to stay at Sevilla.
Estadio Deportivo now report he’s agreed to move to Nice, who have to find an agreement with the Spanish club.
Such a move is seen as very different from the ‘cold of London’ and will enable En-Nesyri to live on the ‘shores of the Mediterranean’.
