Over the weekend, the news that Leeds are still interested in Noa Lang appeared, with it explained from Italy that the Whites wanted the player.
The Elland Road side are known to have made multiple attempts to sign the Club Brugge star in the past, and despite Jesse Marsch and Marcelo Bielsa being far away from the Yorkshire side at this moment in time, they appear to still be keeping an eye on him.
The good news for Leeds is that, if they manage to stay up in the Premier League, they could have another chance at signing him, although it remains to be seen if he will want to join a club that has only just avoided relegation to the Championship.
We say this because the player is currently playing in the Champions League with his team, and many expect him to want to remain in a European competition going forward.
Among those who are championing an exit from Brugge is Sparta Rotterdam assistant manager Nourdin Boukhari, who is also the player’s father in law.
Speaking to Het Laatste Nieuws, relayed by Walfoot, he said: “Noa has a transfer in mind, yes. He wants to go up a level, and that needs to be done this summer. If he continues at this level, it will certainly happen.”
First, however, we will have to see how Leeds fare in the next few months, as they currently sit 19th in the league, two points behind 17th placed Bournemouth.
