Bayern Munich’s tactics to convince Tottenham to sell Harry Kane ‘seem to be working’ and they believe the transfer ‘could be perfect’ by the end of the month.
That’s according to SportBILD, who cover the situation again today as Bayern continue to try and sign the England captain.
They report that Bayern bosses have been ‘working on’ getting Kane’s commitment for weeks, culminating in CEO Jane Christian Dreesen deciding not to join the club on their trip to Tokyo this week.
He plans to instead hold the next round of negotiations with Tottenham’s Daniel Levy at the end of the week.
Bayern have already secured Kane’s commitment for the transfers, with him even going as far as to reject an extension at Tottenham.
Those responsible at the Allianz Arena have made it clear to Kane and his brother Charlie that he will get a long-term contract, perhaps even five years long, at the German club. It would also be a ‘mega deal’ for him, the framework of which has already been discussed.
With a salary of over €20m on the table, Kane would immediately be among the top earners at Bayern and be handed a huge vote of confidence, particularly given his age. Bayern only offer players who are 30+ one-year deals.
There is now an increasing confidence at Bayern they will get their man, with a belief their ‘tactics’ have worked and forced Tottenham into a sale. Reports that Joe Lewis has told Levy to sell Kane this summer play into that.
So does SportBILD’s information that Kane’s wife Katie was recently in Munich with her parents and in-laws house hunting, despite being heavily pregnant.
That’s seen as a further sign they want the transfer and now Bayern are stepping on the accelerator, hoping it can be finalised by the end of the month.
