Some days ago, Italian side AS Roma were linked with a move for Nottingham Forest’s Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 24-year-old has racked up a tally of five Premier League goals and three assists this season, showing his quality at the highest level.

Unsurprisingly, interest in the winger is now rising for the summer transfer window and his situation could be linked to that of Igor Paixao, who has been linked with a move to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Tuttomercatoweb’s Nicolo Ceccarini has reported on Napoli’s interest in Nottingham Forest’s Hudson-Odoi and he states that while the Italian giants have multiple attacking targets in mind, their ‘spotlight’ is quite firmly on the Englishman.

The ex-Chelsea player’s current deal at the City Ground runs out in the summer of 2026.

This can hand an advantage to Napoli, who also hold concrete interest in Paixao, and this scenario can threaten Nottingham Forest in two ways.

The Tricky Trees will certainly look to replace Hudson-Odoi if he departs in the summer but the possibility of losing out on a target like Paixao can hinder some of their plans for the summer.
